While working to break the cycle of poverty, support from a social worker is fundamental in helping kids and their families access community and school-based services and making sure critical needs are met. OpenDoors directly serves 150 students and impacts more than 600 in our community.

This is a fundraising project, and all ticket sales benefit the education and outreach programs of OpenDoors of Asheville. Tickets may be sold to employees, board members and other affiliated persons. The car raffle is open only to those who are 18 years of age or older as of 10/20/2017, and who possess a valid driver’s license. You need not be present to win. At least 400 tickets MUST BE SOLD to draw the winner. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible, however, if the minimum is not sold, ticket holders will be given the option of a full refund OR a charitable contribution receipt, which is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Federal taxes, as required by the IRS on raffle winnings, will be paid by OpenDoors on behalf of the winner. The winner is required to pay all state and local taxes, tag and title on raffle winnings.
